A loving restoration with additions to the Frank House by the prominent mid-century modernist architect, Andrew Geller. Known for his ability to build unusual houses for incredibly small budgets, this house was also known from its early days as very prone to leaks! Our scope included the removal of many insensitive additions and the repair of the dilapidated structure. The kitchen was relocated, interior spaces reorganized, and a lower level guest suite was added. A new and striking entry sequence now showcases Geller’s temple to the sun, culminating with a new access to the roof with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Great South Bay.
